....The Mother of Invention Regional Conference is open to all inventors and will cover a number of critical phases in the inventing process. The conference could save novice and seasoned inventors tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary expenses. The convention is presented by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, The Inventors Roundtable™ and the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center.
Our keynote speaker will be Jan Miller, inventor, founder and president of Stander, Inc. Stander began in 1998 with a desire from Jan to start a business that is a contribution to the world. Jan's grandmother "Grandma Essie" inspired the first product. From there Stander has grown at the average of 40% yearly. Jan and her dream team invent, design, and manufacture 3-5 new products each year that are devoted to assisting the elderly to be independent and "Live the Longer Life You Love"™.
Jan was given an award for innovation in 2008 from Women Tech Awards. She was named Business Person of the Year for Utah by SBA in 2009. Stander was named in the top 50 fastest growing companies in Utah. Jan was named one of Utah's Fittest Execs. See Jan's picture below.
Attendees may attend up to four of the eight training sessions. This year’'s focus will be on marketing and selling or licensing. You will learn about how to develope, protect and market your invention. Wells Fargo, one of our sponsors, will help you understand how to apply for an SBA loan. Come and learn from people who have the answers that you need. The presentation topics and information offered will be especially valuable to individual and small business inventors. You won't get this real world "nuts-and-bolts" advice from any college, university, or other organization. This seminar is geared specifically toward educating inventors and entrepreneurs developing ideas and/or inventions.
